Admissions Process

Step 1. Visit

Parents should schedule a time to visit the school and interview with one of our school administrators. We also encourage students to schedule a day-long visit to sit in on classes and chapels. Visiting students will be assigned a “peer host” for the day to assist them with their visit.

During the course of the student visitation day, your child may be given a basic academic screening in the areas of language arts and mathematics. All applicants for the kindergarten program will be given a readiness screening in the spring preceding the school year for which the application is made.

Step 2. Complete and return the Application for Admission

All applicable forms included in the application packet should be submitted following the above-noted visit to the school along with a $100.00 application fee per family. The application fee is non-refundable, except in the event the applicants are not accepted for enrollment.

Completed application packets should include: an application for each child; a transcript release form for each child (if transferring from another school); 7th-12th grade teacher recommendation forms for math and English (if applicable); a pastor's reference form; and a parent commitment form.

Please note that:
The Pastor's Reference Form should be submitted to your pastor and returned directly to Grace Christian School by the pastor.
The Transcript Release Form should be completed by the parents and forwarded directly to the applicant’s present school in order to facilitate the transfer of records to Grace Christian School. Our evaluation of your child’s records is an important part of the application process.
The Confidential Teacher Recommendation Forms for both Math and English (for grades 7th-12th), should be submitted to the applicant's current school and returned directly to Grace Christian School.

Step 3. Final Acceptance

After the application is received and processed, the school will notify the parents by mail with the admissions decision.

If the applicants are accepted, the parents are asked to sign an “Intent to Enroll” form along with a $360.00 non-refundable deposit per family. To insure your child’s enrollment, this deposit is due within two weeks of your notification of acceptance. Questions or concerns regarding this policy may be directed to the business office.

If screening was not conducted during the initial visit, applicants for grades one through twelve will be given a basic academic screening in the areas of language arts and mathematics by school personnel to ensure proper grade and class placement. All applications for the kindergarten program will be given a readiness screening in the spring preceding the school year for which the application is made.
