For the 2011-2012 season, our basketball teams are competing in the VACA Conference. GCS is honored to have Coach Verne Canfield, former head coach of Washington & Lee University, managing the entire basketball program.
Boys Basketball
This year, GCS will offer Boy's JV, Middle School and Junior teams. Coach Canfield will serve as Head Coach for all three of the boy's teams, assisted by Donald Heishman at the JV level, GCS alumni Michael Hogsett at the Middle School level, and Tom Musselman at the Junior level.

Girls Basketball
GCS will offer Girl's Varsity, JV, and Middle School baskeball this year. Cindy Mims will serve as Head Coach for all three of the girl's basketball teams and will be assisted by Vicki Baker. GCS is pleased to have alumni Kelsey Keegan and Kati Sprouse as graduate assistants.
