Middle School Fine Arts

Our Middle School fine arts program offers a variety of required and elective opportunities for the students including:

Chorus: Students participate in chorus, perform various styles of choral music, and review musical theory through games and instrument playing. They perform in various productions for parents and the community, as well as in chapels and choral competitions.

Instrumental Ensemble: Students perform in Orff ensembles with xylophones and other percussion instruments and also present selections on tone chimes. They perform in chapels and other school performances.

Worship Team: Under the direction of faculty leaders, students form a praise and worship band which performs during the weekly chapel services.

Private Lessons: Private lessons are offered to the students on a weekly basis during the school day including - voice, guitar, piano and violin, as well as wind, brass, cello and bass instruments. The students perform in the Spring Arts Festival as well as other school programs.

Art: With a hands-on approach, students explore various art mediums including painting, drawing, and sculpture, as well as study basic art history and art appreciation.

Art’s Night: This is an opportunity to showcase guitar and piano students and various art work created by the students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Summer Fine Arts Camp: This opportunity is for children in grades 3-8 offering classes in music, art, and drama. Classes range from drawing and mural painting to choral singing, instrumentals and movement, to the basic of drama, voice technique, improv, and live performances.
